Compare Consensing Boilers
When we talk about condensing boilers, we’re referring to the process your boiler uses to generate heat as opposed to an actual boiler type. A condensing boiler uses condensing technology to better utilise the heat that it generates. For this reason, condensing central heating boilers are more than 90% energy-efficient and are also a very environmentally-friendly home heating solution.
There are three primary condensing heating boilers available: combi boilers, system boilers or conventional boilers. These boilers all use a condensing technique when generating heat. Today, UK legislation ensures that every new boiler of these three types that are installed in the UK must be condensing boilers.

Condensing boiler cost
Typically, the cost of a condensing boiler will start at around £500 for a model suitable for a small flat, rising to in excess of £3,000 for something suitable for very large properties. Prices also vary dramatically based on the quality of the boiler purchased. As expected, highly regarded manufacturers such as Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi and Potterton tend to be priced slightly higher than other lesser quality brands.
Once you have compared condensing boilers and selected the most suitable system for your property, you’ll find that typical installation charges vary. You may be quoted around £1,400 for a small boiler and £2,200+ for larger boilers.
If you choose a condensing boiler from one of the major boiler manufacturers, you may be able to find a more affordable quote. Many of these leading manufacturers provide training to large numbers of Gas Safe registered fitters and as a result, heating engineers are often more familiar with boilers supplied by the larger manufacturers. If they are comfortable installing these brands, this can be reflected in their quotes.

Why you should choose a condensing boiler
Today, there are a large number of condensing boilers available on the market. Due to their energy efficiency, they are only growing in popularity. Here are the reasons why many people are turning to condensing boilers:
Energy-efficient
Due to the condensing technology unique to condensing boilers, they are an incredibly energy-efficient choice. And because less fuel is required to heat your home, your heating bills are likely to reduce in cost – as will your carbon footprint.
Compact
Condensing combi boilers do not require a hot water tank so will not take up much room in your home. They are available in a range of compact sizes and can fit easily into a kitchen cupboard.
Simple to use
Because condensing boilers produce hot water automatically when it is needed, they do not require a timer to operate effectively. This makes the boiler controls very minimal, meaning that it is simple to use.
